Matt Masters is a Calgary-born country and western musician. The past 14 years of Matt’s career were spent touring traditional Western-Canadian songs around the world. Currently, Matt is working on his fifth studio album, which is an exclusive collection of Alberta folk songs. In addition to 75 gig performances a year, Matt teaches songwriting and Alberta music history to students through the National Music Centre, and moonlights in performance art, film, and radio. Matt is the festival director of the Spaghetti Western Festival in Calgary, described as Western Canada’s alternative and traditional country music festival, and the proud dad of a daughter, Nora.
